Installation Terms & Conditions

  1. Payments
    • Instant payments are required and must be made either before or immediately after installation, as per the written agreement with the client.
    • No Certificate of Compliance (CoC) or warranty documents will be released until full payment is received.
  2. Workmanship Warranty
    • A 5-year workmanship warranty is provided on limited systems only (as specified in the quotation or invoice).
    • This warranty covers only the quality of installation work and does not extend to product defects, misuse, or external damages.
  3. Transportation Costs
    • All transportation, delivery, or collection costs are the responsibility of the client unless otherwise stated in writing.
  4. Exclusions & Limitations
    • Inverter failures caused by power surges, incorrect usage, or internal component damage (“inverter blow up”) are not covered under warranty.
    • Manufacturer warranties on panels, batteries, and inverters apply separately and are subject to the respective manufacturer’s terms.
    • Any third-party interference, tampering, or unauthorised modifications will void all warranties.
  5. Client Responsibilities
    • The client must ensure the installation site is safe, accessible, and compliant with basic requirements (roof structure, DB board space, etc.).
    • The client is responsible for ongoing system maintenance and must follow all operating instructions provided.
  6. General
    • Solar Traders Africa (or appointed installers) will not be held liable for damages caused by grid instability, load shedding, lightning, or factors beyond reasonable control.
    • These Terms & Conditions apply to all installations unless superseded by a signed contract.
