These Terms and Conditions apply to purchases made through Solar Traders Africa, including solar kits, inverters, batteries, panels, accessories, delivery and related support services.

1. Company and contact information

Solar Traders Africa supplies solar products and related support to customers in South Africa. For order support, contact us on 021 300 8941 or sales@solartraders.co.za.

2. Product information

We aim to keep product names, specifications, images, pricing, availability and descriptions accurate. Product photos may be used for illustration and may differ slightly from the final supplied item depending on stock batch, supplier updates or manufacturer packaging.

3. Pricing and VAT

Prices are displayed in South African rand. Where VAT is applicable, product and checkout pricing will reflect the VAT treatment configured on the website. Prices may change without prior notice before an order is accepted and paid.

4. Orders and payment

An order is only processed once payment has been received or confirmed through the selected payment method. For bank transfer or EFT payments, stock can only be secured once funds have cleared into the nominated account, unless we confirm otherwise in writing.

5. Stock availability

Stock availability can change quickly, especially on high-demand solar products. If an item becomes unavailable after purchase, we may offer a suitable replacement, backorder option, revised delivery timeline or refund where applicable.

6. Delivery and collection

Delivery timelines are estimates and may be affected by supplier dispatch times, courier delays, public holidays, payment clearance, address accuracy and product availability. Collection orders may only be released after payment clearance and order confirmation.

7. Installation services

Where installation is purchased or quoted, the installation scope must be confirmed in writing. Any extra work, additional materials, difficult access, compliance corrections, roof work, electrical upgrades or distance-related costs may be quoted separately.

8. Returns, exchanges and cancellations

Returns are subject to inspection and must be in original condition with packaging, accessories and documentation where applicable. Electrical and solar products that have been installed, used, damaged, modified or incorrectly handled may not qualify for return. Courier, handling, restocking or supplier charges may apply where permitted by law.

9. Warranty

Manufacturer warranties apply according to each manufacturer’s terms. Warranty claims may require proof of purchase, serial numbers, installation details, fault evidence and manufacturer assessment. Warranty does not cover misuse, incorrect installation, unauthorised repairs, surge damage, water damage, lightning damage, incorrect system design or non-compliant use unless the manufacturer confirms otherwise.

10. Electrical compliance

Customers are responsible for ensuring that any electrical work, installation and system operation complies with applicable South African electrical standards, municipal requirements and regulations. Where a Certificate of Compliance is required, it must be issued by a suitably qualified person after inspection and approval.

11. Limitation of liability

Solar Traders Africa will not be liable for indirect losses, loss of profit, business interruption, load-shedding impact, data loss, third-party delays, supplier delays or damage caused by incorrect use, incorrect installation or external electrical events beyond our reasonable control.

12. Privacy

Customer details are used to process orders, deliver products, provide support and communicate about purchases. We handle customer information in line with applicable privacy requirements.

13. Governing law

These Terms and Conditions are governed by the laws of the Republic of South Africa.

14. Updates to these terms

We may update these Terms and Conditions when required. The version published on this website at the time of purchase applies to that purchase.
